WokFi - Wifi Signal Strainer

The parabolic Asian cooking(dumpling) strainer
is the perfect candidate for this project.

I was able to pick up 20 more access points
in the city and connect to a network a few blocks away!

This is BY-FAR the most simple of all Wifi extensions!

Have you ever tried to use an old dish network dish as an antenna? Is there anything special? How would you weather proof the electronics?

  2. where did you get the strainer? what is the diameter?
what USB adapter do you use?

  3. I got a Dell Laptop with built in WiFi, Is there anyway to increase the range on that? I got a friend that stays about 300 to 350 meters away, and i wana conect to his rooter!

  4. I was there when you made this…Such a random kid. BTW, contrats.
